hi guys, i'm looking for some tips on getting started footin. i have a 97 PS205 that right now gets used for boarding and basic skiing, for some dumb reason i've had a desire to try barefooting and need some help getting started. obviously i'll pick up a boom for my boat and a suit, but i dont have anyone around who does it so i cant get any instruction. is it something i can just go out and tech myself to do?
thanks for any help
tom

Take a look through this thread (http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=221&highlight=barefooting&page=15). Post 587 by jconover is a good start. there were a lot of people that commented on his form and gave him tips.

You can't go wrong with the boom. It pretty much guarantees no falls{just don't let go} and will give you more confidence in learning. It does help your progression with an experienced footer with you, but with the dedication to reading and watching videos, you can make it happen. It just amazes me how long you can try something over and over, but have that one time when someone points out to try this or tweak that, will make all the difference . I would have someone video yourself while learning to compare and contrast to other more experienced footers.

Yeah the advice in the post noted is top notch. Sadly we had a tubing accident with the kids last weekend which cut my summer short (my little girl ended up in the hospital for emergency facial surgery after colliding with an unattended air floatation object on the tube... daddy feels really guilty and ashamed). I promised i wouldnt go out on the boat again until she had recovered, but that's going to be a few weeks.

Sorry to hear about your daughter, hope she heals up quickly.
Just another reason to get rid of the tube! ;)

Yeah you're telling me. We were only going 11 mph GPS perfectpass. good thing too.
Funny thing is, the day of, she told me she'd never ride a tube again.. then last night, she said "daddy, i want to go again, but... no more crashing, okay?"
