We just got in our first 2012 MasterCraft with lime green gel, I thought you guys would like to check it out. We all think it looks great. I think the ZFT-2 is going to be a big hit too once people get their hands on it. The new dash is also very well thought out and functional.

Thanks,

Looks darn good to me. I'm still not sold on that old school tower though.

Cool boat and thanks for the pics ... the tower just look like it was built in the 80"s maybe they should of used square tubing and made it more like the Power tower ?

My local dealer had a 2012 X25 in the same color scheme. Picture dosnt do it justice, you have to see it in person... looks cool.

Is it me or deos the MasterCraft lettering look smaller than before:confused:

I was up at my dealer on Saturday and checked out a 2012 X-25 and I must say the new dash and touch screen are a big improvement. The fit and finish in the dash is done very nicely and the glove box is stout while the concern with the new switches I found no issues as they felt very solid well made. The ZFT-2 tower is better in person but just has no chance versus the 4 point or the power tower. The power tower looks hot in person and makes the boat look very industrial while the Zft-2 looks wimpy and very dated.

That's one of the best looking 2012's that I've seen

I haven't said anything about the new towers in the past but I have to say, this "new" ZFT2 tower is really cheap looking. I'll stick with my super sturdy solid tower from the 04-05 era. Solid as can be. Yeah it doesn't fold down but who cares, it never wobbles or moves an inch.

Is the "up/down" and "right/left" switches under the horn for the trim and surf tabs?
Looks great, I like the green.

love the color, but that tower is flat ugly. it does not flow with the lines of the boat. The recent tower design with hurt MC in the long run, IMO>

Like the drivers side dash.
Don't like the passengers side. If you're gonna have the stereo sitting out for everyone to see, at least install one that looks like it belongs with a 70+K boat.
Tower looks like a "jobber". I think my old shop teacher built it...
Love the lime green.

.
I still hate the radios being on the passenger side. Yes I understand remote for the driver but why not switch it. I absolutely hate having to go to the passenger side to change settings inbetween sets. But yea that clarion unit is great but agree it looks like a 10 cent grill on a million dollar body.

Also agree that the tower is super boojey with a side order of blah.

Man... I love everything but the tower on that... and prolly wouldn't be fond of the price tag either.

1) Like the color, hope its brighter in real life. Like the stitching.

2) Tower is whack.

3) Dash looks cheap, plastic toggles for ballast and trim? C'mon.

4) Glad MC finally is offering black grills on the JL speakers.

5) Passenger dash, radio are ugly IMO.

Interesting that you say this as I was thinking.....

How many people would be in the group of

A - "put up with the tower"

OR

B - "not buying that boat with that tower on it - P E R I O D".

We all have things we like and dont like about every boat (no matter who makes it) but is this truly a deal killer feature????

For me "B" so its a power tower or no tower at all and go aftermarket ! I ordered with the Power Tower.

I agree with the last few post. Mastercraft dropped the ball BIG time with that non-power tower option. They could have done something exceptional, but they made something exceptionally ugly!

How many haters of the new non-power tower actually seen and touched one. You just might change you opinion.

Just not as advanced as the power tower is all

Seen it in person at the local dealership. Still not fond of it. Even the salesman pointed out that the speaker cans look cheap and don't matched the the stainless look of the tower.

Yep the MasterCraft Letter do look smaller. I would like it better if the Letters were more centered from Bow to Stern.

I really like the colors but only If I had the boat at my boat house. My red truck wouldn't look so good towing it. 8p

Considering what Non-MC Towers other MasterCraft dealers are installing, this particular Tower isn't that bad.

x2, the new tower would be a no go for a boat purchase. I have seen one in person at my local store, it is even worse in person.

Not sold on the tower / glove box / stezza / switches. The rest looks good, like a mc should. I will bet my lefty that their are some major changes to the above mentioned in the next releases.

I like the Lime Green a lot, thanks Alan for posting it up!

I'm a more traditional guy....can the "X-15" in the back half of the boat be removed?? In other words, is it a decal?

I can't speak to the tower being good or bad. The lime green reminds me of Kawasaki dirt bikes with black excel rims. Best color IMO.

When are you gonna eat doritos and drink kool-aid in it? :)

as someone said the other day, I too don't care for the open bow. That boat would look so much better with the ole school closed bow and solid windshield...

Sweet boat there, can't deny that. ;)

Yeah, when you've got 4 kids, an open bow is pretty much a necessity, esp if you want to bring anyone else

You know I never noticed that, hate it. Not sure how it is functional, my wallet, phone, sunglasses case, hat etc get stacked up on that side. I am pretty sure that stuff wouldn't stay there. Why would you want an Axis windshield on a Mastercraft?

I think it would be nice to reach down and splash a little water on my back. It's always super hot here in the summer, and 10 minutes into pulling somebody I'm sweating bad and getting cranky. Also, it makes it much easier to talk ($hit) to the dropped skier or boarder while bringing the rope around.

I will say though, that I would miss the side window as well because this is where I mount the pouch that holds my ipod, phone, and sunglasses generally.
