I cant believe my kids go back to school in 1 week now! This means the end to my mastercraft summer....sports, games, practices..etc...seems like summer gets shorter every year. It been a weird summer here in indiana this year....record rainfall in may, cold in june, and record heat in august....

Just means you don't have to do all that stuff so now you can go to the lake!:D
Time flys, eh?

It doesnt seem like ive used my boat this summer....until i get the credit card bills and see how much gas $$$ ive put in each month...yikes! I think i got the most use out of our boat before the kids went to school, but were spotter qualified, meaning they could say "daddys down".

Summers are too short the boys played baseball with me coaching until July July. Open house last night, classes start Monday and so does Pee-Wee football practice.

There is no reason that school should start before Labor Day or run past Memorial Day.

My kids don't go back until the 22nd, although it's been impossible to spend anything other than weekends at the lake this year. One of my boys plays football and they have had weight lifting and conditioning all summer. It's too far to the school from the lake to run him down there and he isn't old enough to drive yet.

The good news is that now that they have started two-a-days, they haven't had a single kid get sick this week and it's been in the high 90's to low 100's all week!

Maybe we just home school them.....gym class every day till october....combo 101, trick advanced, barefoot AP... i couldnt help them a lick in math though....in 4th and 2nd grades; their math is already more advanced then mine. With my schedule im off a lot in the middle of the week, so before my kids were in school we used to go skiing all the time on week days through september...smooth as glass nirvana......im starting to tear up now....

football is a big interference with my lake time ever since i started in high school... my dad always told me this- there will be plenty of time to ski when you're older, but you only get to be a high school/college football player once

It appears about $1200 gas so far. Im kinda like the fat girl on a diet...grab a little food, then a little more, then surprised you gained weight. I'll put 5 gal in the morning, another in the afternoon, etc..thinking i wont spend as much that way....

We had a 3 day weekend planned for the 19th of August which was supposed to include my adult sons, a niece and nephew, and about 5 small cousins (not midgets) from my wife's side of the family. The cousins only get to come in once a year and they all couldn't wait to ski. My wife informed me that the cousins are actually going to start school on the 19th, which is a Friday, so they can't make it. What a load of crap....start school on Friday and then take two days off. Only our government could come up with that.
