I have to replace my circulating pump on my 96 prostar LT1. Is there any difference between the one I can get from NAPA and the overpriced Mastercraft part, besides the heater hose outlets? Inboard online lists it at $415.35. If I was to use the NAPA part what do I do with the heater hose outlets? Do I just get a piece of heater hose and join them together?

Marine waterpumps have brass blades for corrosion protection, automotive ones are steel and rust out quickly, your choice, if your don't wanna get one from the dealer there's other stores that sells marine versions, just google it.

If I decide to cheap out and buy the NAPA part (mostly to get me on the water quicker) do I just join the two heater hose connections together?

Yes or you could put coolant caps on.

Teleflexmarine.com is the marine NAPA. I haven't checked it out though. Hope this helps
