I have an HO Animal front binding that keeps seperating from the mounting plate. The course screws that go in from the bottom of the mounting plate and thread into the plastic on the bottom of the binding, keep pulling out. 2 of the holes appear to be stripped and or cracked but otherwise the binding itself is fine. I could likely put a larger screw into the hole but was wondering if anyone had a better option? I thought about filling the hole with epoxy and then screwing into that....thoughts?

Does anyone else have this problem? I check my gear regularly, I just don't get how the screws back out/pull out when they are wedged between the mounting plate and the ski itself. Yes, I have taken some hard falls where the ski has been ripped off but I wouldn't think that would cause this issue.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Wileys may sell you the one HO piece you need instead of buying the whole binding and it may be cost effective enough.
Also, sounds cheesy but You may be able to do something with the plastic screw type anchors. My old boat dealer recommended that to me as opposed to repairing fiberglass where screws had stripped out in the boat and they worked really well much to my surprise. At least you could get it out if it did not work as opposed to filling it. Probaly have to hacksaw the length

Ended up taking Epoxy that was made for plastic application and filling the stripped-out holes on the bottom of the binding, then letting it dry for 24 hours before drilling a small pilot hole into it and remoutning the base plate to the binding. I added a couple of extra screws to help but everything seemed to hold together nicely this morning so we will se what the rest of the week brings.
Then again, if I keep skiing the way I am now, I won't have to worry about a binding issue, I'll simply change to surfing or maybe just become a full-time tuber!

I had the same issue and just went up one size in the diameter of the screw. It has been 2 seasons since I did that and the binding is still holding up.
