So I tried out my new x2 for surfing the other day and I couldnt get a good wave out of it. I had the tabs down rear ballast and fly high full. I know it isnt much weight but I would think you should atleast get a clean wave out of it..

Can anyone help me with this??

to clean up the wave, weight up the front also, not just rear ballast, this will also lengthen the wave

Dan - You don't say what year, if it is a 06' or newer, see post #4 here on how to weight an X2.

If it is an 05' it is a bit tougher to get a good surf wave on that hull to clean up.

+2 on putting weight up front as well. If you are surfing port then leave starboard ballast empty. IMO you should leave the tabs up until you get as much as you can with fat sac placement. Then play with the tabs for tweaking.

For 06 and newer x2 owners, what is the recommended sacs in the rear and who to buy from? I saw a special for x2 pro series fat sac online for 189.00. also, i have the hard ballast and pumps already so is there any extra fittings to buy or do the Pro series come with all you need?

I just re-worked my ballast by removing the rear hard tanks and putting in a 1200# Enzo style sac. Pretty pricey, but it keeps everything off the seats. Integrated front sac filled off the KGB too. I'll see what I can find for pictures.

Meanwhile, I have the other sacs for sale. 750 pro x, 350 side sac, and a Fly Hi X2 rear. Pm for details.

It was a super wavy day, so the wake was a little beat up, but this should give you a sense of what the goofy wake looks like. Only a driver on board. Full integrated front, KGB, and the aforementioned custom rear.
