:confused:Has anyone had issue with cracked guages. Have a 2007 197 TT and guages are cracking. Any thoughts?

Yeah there's was some discussion in the thread titled, "What do you want on your next 190/197? "

Do you have the milled aluminum dash? The theory is that the Aluminum did not have enough clearance to the Gauge lens, thus in high temps environment (summer sun) the aluminum expands and cracks the lenses.

Yes, i do have that dash. And that is exactily what happened. We just had some intense heat and then we notice the cracks. thanks for your help.

I had the SAME exact problem with my 2005 Prostar 197TT (with the milled aluminum dash)... Initially I thought the cracks were from the previous owner -- having the ski rope boomeranged back into the boat and nailing the gauges.... I learned from others in this forum this was a pretty common problem.... I ended up replacing a few gauges and never had another problem...

PM Sodar, I believe he had the same issues and knows a lot about what you can do.
