I gave in and after long battles with the dealer and the factory over the ridiculous 8% increase for 2012 models and many negotiations I ordered my new X-25 Last night. I must say my dealer worked for me and with me on this boat. I think all the dealers are feeling the same as the consumers that Mastercraft needs hold the pricing on these boats.

I am done worrying about the price and ready to own my first Mastercraft ... My boat goes into production on 8-1-2011 ...

we have the extreme mirror but just the std tower, anyway our mirror is actually one of the best features. Is proview for the power tower, how does it attach?

Just curious, could you have ordered the power tower in black for the same cost?

Here is the proview mirror! http://redlinewatersports.blogspot.com/2011/05/mastercrafts-new-pro-view-mirror.html

To have the tower powder coated black, it is about $2500 and the boat would have to make a stop in IL before coming to you.

I have the MC proview mirror and found that I had to modify it a bit. I found that the screws kept coming loose. So grinding a flat spot at each end of the black tube fixed this. Also watch out for flexing on the windshield frame  Other than that, its great.

Nice looking boat. Can you have it combined on a shipment to Colorado? If so i'd be happy to bring it your direction from here! I might have to stop off at Lake Powell first to water test it though...:)

Congrats on the new boat! Sounds like it has a lot of niceties.

How many years had you been boating and what did you own previously?

How was the process of 'ordering factory direct'?

If you are even remotely thinking of putting that boat in any salt water, have them galvanize the trailer, before you take delivery. Tube type trailer frames used by MC turn to **** in salt water. Beautiful boat. I don't know too many people lucky enough to get a new MC. Enjoy it!

Been boating since 1985 and have never owned a MC before. I spent over 3 months testing many new boats before deciding on my X-25. It also took several calls from my dealer to the Factory because when I went to order they through an 8% across the board price increase at me. So it was a battle somewhat to get the price back to where I was comfortable. In the end I paid about 5-8 K over what a Tige would have cost me and I ended up with a X-25 heavily optioned and a Power Tower and upgraded engine.

Being able to order what I want in the color I want is the only way I would spend this kind of money on a new boat ... otherwise used only !

Awesome boat!
RE: the pro view mirror mounting to the windshield. If you're worried about scratching it, maybe apply some thin double died trim moulding tape to the windshield frame if there's enough room to mount the mirror bracket over it.

This a Cali Skier boat? Looks to be by the colors. They sure like the black, red and white. 60% of their in stock inventory is of that color combo.

It is but I did the color scheme myself ... The boat is 100% ordered by me. They do seem to like the reds and black ... but then so do I. If its not red I wont own it !

Not exactly.

What size Mikelson? Seems like their 61' pilothouse is catching on big. I think we have 3 or 4 of them in Long Beach, now!

The 61 is a hot boat but with the slow down I will have to stick with my 50' Mikelson SF

Yeah, they get thrashed down there. You should have stopped by Baja Naval on your way back up.

I am inches away from giving up on the river all together. I am tired of the drive and crowds. If I stick around, I think I am going to look down south around Aha.
