Dear all,
i am from Germany and please excuse my not so perfect english !
Since this year i have a Pro Star 190 with an MCX engine.
The problem i have is when we Ski with 36 mph (or with higher speed) for about 3 or 4 minutes the trottle slows down by itself. After you stop or slow down you can start and the same problem occurs after the same time.
The engine temperatur is OK as well the pressure and i don't have perfect pass !
Do some one had the same problem ?Any help or idea ! Thanks and greeting from Germany Frankfurt
Bernd

Before somebody asks, his profile states he has a 2006 190 with MCX.

Was 2006 the first year for throttle by wire?

Is the throttle simply moving back to idle when you remove your hand from it or does i slow down when you have your hand on the throttle.

The throttle is loaded and requires you to keep your hand on the throttle.

Many thanks for the answers ,Ski_King is right my one is drive by wire !
Also the trottle lever stays in position when this problem happens, that means it is not going back by itself or change the position !

Fuel pump might be going bad?

if it's the ENGINE slowing down and not a throttle issue - I'd check the fuel pump pressure and filter of course!

2005 on the MCX was TBW. 2006 for the rest of the engines.
