I was heading out to my truck when lightning struck a tree in my yard. The tree folded my kids soccer net, crushed the wheelbarrow and landed on my trailer. You can see part of the trailer on the right of the second photo. I was able to drive the truck out from under the limbs that had landed on it. My neighbors house (green house) received minimal damage, a broken window and some splinters stuck in the roof. Everyone was ok, and everything can be replaced.

I would say you got very lucky that pine didn't land on the house!!

Yeah I was about to leave our office at 830am on Monday when the microburst hit HARD. Snapped 10" caliper trees clean off the base and blew them down the road. Com Ed says this is the worst amount of outages at one time in Northern IL history, I believe it.

We had a pretty strong storm roll through here in (Central Minnesota) on Sunday evening too. One of my co-workers had his boat and lift blown down the shoreline and flipped over. This pic is from near my house, but I do not know them. Both my lifts and PS 190 had no damage. 80mph straight line winds... The funny thing is I was out fishing in my 15' Boston Whaler the whole time. Close to the up-wind shoreline of course... Neighbors now think I'm mental :)
