I would liketo tune my carburetor this weekend and was wondering if anyone could share wisdom on this issue. I have an Edelbrock performer manifold and would like to hook up a vacuum gauge to tune the carb a bit more precisely. Question is where do I hook up the vaccum gauge. I used to do it on the PCV port of the spacer under carb, but was told this is not the best way to do it. Should I then hook it up to the 3/8" thread on the intake manifold itself at the back of carb? (this is just tapped right now) How do you hook this up to the rubber tube of the gauge? What should the vacuum read? Will a well tuned carb improve RPM? I am topping out at WOT at 4100 RPM and seem to remember getting more out of the engine before (1990 351w indmar with GT40P's)?
