I got a buddy who just bought a 07 X-30 and is looking for a tow rig to use in the Northwest with all our hills and mountain passes. He is looking at the Nissan Armada. The X-30 weights about 5,700lbs dry. Any comments?

WOW, you're going to get a lot of responses on this question bud. ;) I live in Texas, we got hills, yawl got mountains up yonder. I have pulled some trailers in mountains and there ain't no way I would try and pull it with that, up yonder. You live there man, imagine a boat that heavy and that size push'n down those mountains. Nope, no sir, no me..... Yeah, it's got trailer brakes, but brakes fail and then what ya got???? You'd better hope that down hill curve has a run away road....

my 2 cents.....

The armada can be a tricky one to tow with, all armadas have independent rear suspension which takes away from towing capacity, also one model has springs for the rear and another has air bags, looks like your under the capacity
Just depends on what year and how its equipped here's a brief overview.

Maximum towing capacity (lbs) SV with Tow Package (2WD) 8,200 SV with Tow Package (4WD) 6,500 SL/Platinum (2WD) 8,200 SL/Platinum (4WD) 9,000 Tongue weight capacity (lbs) SV with Tow Package (2WD) 910 SL/Platinum (2WD) 910 SL/Platinum (4WD) 900
