The last time I pulled my boat out of the water, the clown who was driving the truck took off before the boat was all the way on the trailer causing too much strain on the bow eye, and it cracked the hull a bit where it's mounted. (Sorry, no pic yet).
Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this before, and what I can expect as far as how difficult and costly it is to repair.

Thanks in advance!

Great to see you back, and still with your '71. Too bad for the damage. I'm no glass guy so I won't speculate, but I'm sure you will be flooded with opinions. Good luck.

Regardless of whether it is just the gelcote that is cracked or the glass you have to get down to the glass to do the repair. Not too difficult. Remove the bow eye. Grind away the gelcote in the damaged area. Repair the glass with epoxy resin. You can reinforce it from the inside with epoxy resin and mat/cloth. Then regel the repair. Replace the bow eye. Back in business.
