Last year went with the yellow, not a bad experience. They were really worn out at the end of the season. This year went with green and they are already toast. All bags are full and they won't even empty.

Thinking about going with the blue. http://www.marinepartssource.com/newdetails.asp?mfgno=025&pnumber=GB025&mfg=GLOBE%20COMPOSITE%20SOLUTIONS&desc=6%20Blade%20Globe%20Impeller

What is everyone using these days or had the best luck with?

Green have work for me and tons of other people. If they are getting toasted, IE hot and melted then you have been running them dry, for a long period of time, at some point.

Green's always worked for me. Agree that they must have been run dry. I've never seen the blue, though. Anyone tried them?

I haven't run them dry, but I do have larger than stock bags that they are filling.

I fill a 1000lb and 680lb bag and have not suffered any failures. The only time I've lost an impeller or motor was when I was driving around and forgot it was on.

We have an '03 X-9 and are on our 3rd season with yellow impellers-we ski a lot also so we fill and empty regularly-also after winterizing system we remove them for the winter and coat them with vasoline like raw waterpump impellor-don't run hem dry
