Do any 2010 or 2011 X15 owners know what thier top speed is and which motor they have?
My family is looking to buy, but top speed is a factor for barefooting.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I have the 5.7 ilmor in my 2011 X15 and I can run around 30-35ish WOT. That is with the "attitude adjustment plate" down and the stock prop. I haven't been out early enough in the day to hit glass so I am sure I could run a bit quicker without the trim.

The X series weren't designed for barefooting. You'd be better off looking for a ProStar and adding weight if you want to barefoot and wakeboard.

Even though I agree with this statement for the most part. I had a buddy of mine foot behind my boat last monday, and he said it wasn't bad at all. A little slower to speed compared to his PS197 w/MCX, but not bad at all. And he is a serious skier/footer. Picks on me for buying an X boat, but now he parks his after the 7-8am sets and rides in my boat all day. :D

I have a X25 w/ 6.2l Ilmor, and I was able to keep it at 40-42 pulling him. I would imagine that an X15 w/6.2 Ilmor would do a lot better, with the X15 being a lot lighter and all....

Your boat should top out over 40 easily.

didnt they have zane barefooting on an xstar that went 50 with the indmar LSA? I know 50 sounds absurd for an inboard but with 530 hp.... thats IIRC

my 2010 with MCX 350 hp tops out at 44 mph all day long. running 14.5x14.5 prop though. Even with factory prop saw 43 to 44 mph. GPS and speedo verified

I have a 2010 X-15 with the MCX. OJ #522 14.75 x 15.5 prop.

On fairly smooth water, 2 adults 2 kids on boat, center trim tab (no surf tabs) full up. Got 39.7 MPH against light wind. On water just slightly choppy got 41.0 with the wind. Both measured via GPS. Speedo was reading a little higher. Speed0 was calibrated at lower (wakeboard) speed.

Oh, I should add that results were WOT and RPMs were just shy of 5200.

Same here. 44 verified with gps
I don't know of a properly running Mastercraft that can't do at least 40 mph with exception of the 300
I foot long line with my X Star all day no problem.

Yeah, someone went zippin across the lake barefootin behind the back up boat at the PWT up here last weekend.
My buddy claims 48mph out of his X15, MCX, stock 17pitch prop, but I think his speedos are off by a few.
