Just fired up the 06 for the first time this year last weekend. Ran it in the driveway before heading to the lake.
Both PLASTIC tees on the bottom of the exhaust manifolds were loose and leaking a little.
Seems the pipe dope used on the threads got crusty. Wasn't enough water to hurt anything and they couldn't come un-threaded with the hoses hooked up, but leaking nonetheless.
Took them off, cleaned up threads, couple wraps of Teflon tape, and good to go.

Bottom of the exh manifolds. 2 hoses coming off of each one.
Probably never would have noticed if I hadn't been looking for leaks in a completely dry boat.

Mine just blew the top (hot) hose. Nylon fell apart in the male threaded portion.

Tell me about it! It's dry rotting in the garage!
The plastic fittings seem cheesy. If they break, that would fill up the boat FAST. May try to duplicate w/ brass tees in the future. 2 different outlet hose sizes though.

I want to change all mine to brass as well. If anybody comes up with a source....

Which hose? Are there other plastic connectors on the water lines?
Heck I learned not to use plastic connectors on cooling lines on my 1st demo derby car. Once it got good and hot, it came apart overheated and put me out of the race!
