Looking for the experts who know their history to give me some info.

How many 88' Platinum Edition Prostars were built?

Out of those - how many had the 454?

Friend of mine has #50, and when he bought it new he recalls being told it may have been the only one with the 454. I just did a quick search and found #17 advertised at some point with the 454 as well.

He wants to get rid of it, and I have it listed in the marketplace, but trying to get my facts straight first.

Probably 50 is about it for that production of the 88 Platinum PS 190. A 454 is pretty cool in that boat. Powerslot is even better.

The boat is only worth what the next buyer will purchase it for and what the seller will sell it for. I think $12000 is on the high side. But that is yet to be determined.

If it is as clean as you say it is and ALL original it will fetch a high dollar amount

1988 20th Anniversary Edition Prostar #50. This is a rare boat that belongs to a friend of mine. I remember when he bought this boat brand new - he has been the only owner. We believe this was one of possibly only a few Platinum Edition Prostars to get the 454 engine out of the limited number built that year. Fresh water use only, options include Powerslot transmission, hot water shower, and stereo with infinity speakers. 750hrs. Located in southern CT. Includes trailer. I will get more photos posted soon. He gives it a 9/10 on the hull and interior. 8/10 on trailer. Figured this forum's users would appreciate this boat and understand it isn't just another 88' Prostar. Drop me an email at mach83@gmail.com if interested and I'll put you in touch with the owner.

There is one very blurry one in the Market place

Certainly needs some great photos for this classic to sell

Doesn't want to get rid of it too badly.

Will be lucky to find the right buyer, 9k tops, probably south of that
