Looking to build up a little tool box to keep on the boat for anything that may pop up along the way.....no need to haul around any useless junk either...what do you guys keep in your tool box??

I probably have the least in mine...

3/8" nut driver for the hose clamps
a few feet of tinned marine wire
strippers and crimpers and waterproof connectors
spare impeller and paint can openers to pull them

I have..
- a spare impellar, the wrench (1/2 in) and socket (11mm) I need to change it.
- a high quality (snap on) adjustable wrench
- a Phillips and Standard screwdriver
- a bag of zip ties
I used to carry more but it always seemed I never used it and became the guy helping some poor guy fix something because he had no tools or clue..lol

I bet he makes a great wake for boarding! Curiuos though, how do you clean the speedo pick ups with a can opener and what kind of can opener?

multi - tool, Allen wrenches for tower, duct tape, extra rope for towing, cash for gas or emergency margarita and finally a mobile phone to call the house so someone can get us with the other boat.

I've got a couple thousand dollars worth of tools in the truck, along with the spare prop, impellar and few other parts. Figure I can get a tow back to the truck to do any repairs, if needed. KNOCK ON WOOD!

I went to Sears and bought a new ~250 pice toolset and then just took all my old ones and put them in the carrying case it came with and put that in the boat. That way it refreshed my home set and gave me more than I needed for the boat. They also have very reasonable ~100 piece sets that come in a nice storage case.

How about two paint can openers to pull the impeller? Haven't seen anyone mention that yet...

I also have a toolbox... but chances are... even if you pack it full of everything you think you could possibly need... you'll break down, and not have the right tool.

So I also have paddles in my boat.
