Global Invitational Set For July 9-10

The Global Invitational will make its debut at Millennium Park in Grand Rapids, Mich., July 9-10.

The world's top professional water ski athletes will compete in slalom and jumping for $45,000 in prize money.
Exhibitions in free-style jumping, wake boarding, barefooting, hydro-foiling and show skiing also will be included in the two-day event.

Returning Global Invitational men's slalom champion Will Asher of Great Britain, men's world jumping record-holder Freddy Krueger of the United States, and women's world slalom record-holder Regina Jaquess will be just a few of the top athletes competing in the third annual event.

The finals will be held Sunday afternoon (July 10), starting at 3 p.m., and ending with the men's jumping finals at 6 p.m.
