Has anyone experienced problem with emergency brakes locking up on new MC trailers ? If so is there an easy way to release the brake once it has applied itself.

There should be an adjustment knob on the tongue. It may be that it is set too tight right now. Some of the guys with newer trailers should chime in with locations and adjustment.
