Anyone know of any locations of slalom courses on Tablerock Lake, mainly near the Cape Fair area?

The only one I know of is in Little Cow Creek way in the back. It is around marker 6 on Table Rock Lake. Pretty far from Cape Fair.

The only one I know of for certain is the one Trip11 mentioned in Little Cow Creek. I found this info with an online search:

Popular slalom courses include:
Near Hideaway, in front of a small island
between Cedar Hollow and Morris Bluff,
on the James River Arm.
Little Cow Creek, about 4 miles east of
the Kimberling City Bridge.
Kings River Arm of the lake, about 1 mile
past Kings River Marina.

Also, I knowCape Fair Marina (http://www.capefairmarina.com/index.php) has MasterCraft boats and will be able to tell you where the closest course is. It should be the one by Morris Bluff which is pretty close to Cape Fair. Call them @ 417-538-4163. Or call Hideaway Marina (http://www.hideawaymarina1956.com/) @ 417-538-2828

Here is a lake map link (http://www.swl.usace.army.mil/parks/tablerock/pdf/tr_lake_map3.pdf).

I'm leaving for Tablerock this weekend (staying for a week). I plan to buy a skier down flag. I don't know what happened to it after moving from CA - anything else I should know about? Surprises, secret spots? We're staying close to Moonshine Beach.

I remember reading about submerged trees somewhere on this forum. Any info would be great.

32: Dave Williams at http://www.williamsskiandsports.com/ used to keep a course pretty far up the Kings River. I don't think he has it in this summer. You could give them a call, he has a shop at Cape Fair.

The lake got record flooding in April and May, which may have hampered normal slalom course locations. Also, there may still be some debris (logs) floating around. I haven't been down since mid-june, but it was fine then, you just have to keep a look out for logs. I'm actually headed down to Shell Knob tomorrow! :D
