We bunged up our 4 blade prop last week. I took out my old C-shaped prop puller and it won't fit in between the blades as they overlap too much. I thought I had pulled this prop before with the same tool, but I guess not. It simply wont fit. What do I do? I have the spare that I had fixed, but I can't get the old one off. Want to have it on the water for the 4th. Thanks in advance.

Is it an OJ puller. They made 3 blade and 4blade pullers.

I've pulled mine off using a gear puller similar to this:

I knocked mine off with a 2x4 and dead blow hammer. Loosen the prop nut and hand thread it back on in case the prop leaves in a hurry, make sure to hit near the shaft and 90* out each time

Thanks all for the advice. That gear puller looks like it will do the trick. I'll hit Sears when they open today.

x2, works great.

I took an air grinder to my my puller and made two cut-outs in it. Now it's a "univeral puller". :D I was at home on a Friday night and needed to get the prop off and I don't like banging on the prop/shaft with anything.
