Does any one here have a few pictures of the Older MC with a spoiler in the back ? I saw one and did not know which model it was, but it looks cool. I would love to buy one in perfect condition.

Thanks,

Its not a spoiler it is a Safe-T-Top which was an optiom from MC. Made to hold a net in between so when the handle snaps back it doesn't hit the driver or observer in the head. From what I hear they are kind of a pain in the rear. Have to constantly duck and makes using a bimini nearly impossible.

Here is a picture from the Marketplace. You can see the net.

Thanks,
Actually they were used as a spoiler, there was a lot of research and development on them to provide the proper amount of downforce at 36 mph to provide the perfect slalom wake. Here is a picture of an early prototype.

Just a funny bit of trivia, when I was shopping for my second Mastercraft years ago I ran across a custom black gelcoated 190 with a matching black gel safe-t-top up in Washington state that belonged to Drew Bledsoe. Was pretty sweet looking.

Didn't I see a video of him skiing behind his mc on a mountain lake? I thought he was an mc guy for some reason and your post made me think of that???

Yea, for whatever reason, those t-bars were common up here in Washington. I know 1/2 dozen guys who had them thru the early 90s including my brother.

Before non-stretch ropes were the norm, we had an incident where the rope snapped up & looped itself around the driver's neck & pinned him up against the t-bar. When towers started getting popular, he was one of the first to remove that t-bar & ditch it.

If anyone wants one, let me know. I know where several of them are stashed.

Maybe I will give him a call and see if he wants to go out and take some jump sets now that he is in Dallas! Do you think that freestyle jumping is listed as a no no in his contract with the Cowboys?

I don't think Drew's back is the problem; it is his inability to get rid of the ball that seems to cause him to be on his back frequently as of lately.

I used to take at least 30 jumps a day-5 days a week and I didn't throw one interception or have one sack last year! Come on Drew-Lets do some jumping!
