Hi.

Can someone educate me on a fair price for a 200 HP Merc powered 89' Prostar 200? Good Condition, etc?
My lake is very prone to be shallow and full of weeds and I think this is the only ski boat that will work for me.

Shallow and full of weeds...

Why would you want an outboard? Makes no sense!?

Is that really an 88 for $6,000?
My 87 Prostar direct drive looked exactly like the black and white 89 with the hull that slopes up to meet the back of the windshield. and it comes with a tandem trailer for $4,500.

The 88 for sale has a different hull and windshield configuration. It looks like an older boat to me? Any one know for sure?

The outboard hull re-designs would usually run a few years behind the inboard hulls. When the inboard hulls switched in '86-'87 to the first generation ProStar hulls, the OB hulls stayed similar to the "stars & stripes" hulls for a few years. Same in '91, the IB hulls switched to the 2nd gen PS hulls, the OB stayed on the 1st gen hulls for a few years. The graphics would switch to match the IB hulls, so you see "new" graphics on older hulls for a few years. My guess is MC didn't have the time & resources to switch everything all at once, so the OB's lagged a few years.
