I am debating a tower on my 81' S&S. I am reluctantly against drilling perfectly good gelcoat, trying to keep it original, but I was hoping for some pics of anyones towers on the same model. Can you post some pics if there are any out there? Thanks in advance.

I would put a fly high pole on there instead of a tower...

Thats what I have now, just considering a tower if I can find one that fits and looks good. Thanks

Stay with the extended pylon.

Just add some board racks to the pylon.

No doubt, that looks good. Maybe just a bimini and keep the pylon. Thanks for the easy convincing.

I agree with the above. I'm perfectly happy with a bimini, extended pylon and a Sky Rack.
Don't pay any attention to the bow strap, just temporary for the pic!

here's my 86 with a Joystick tower, with Aerial wake rack. I really like the way it fits with the lines of the windshield, and boards are out of the way when in the rack. 4 bolts and i can take it off for winter storage. Lightweight aluminum tubing and cnc machined mounting pads and joints, and its powdercoated too. Just another option cause this boat is simmilar to yours.

I have gone back and forthe over this issue... the tower gives you a place for MORE speakers, a place for the kids tube, etc... but I just can't get over the fact that TO ME, they just don't look right on these narrow ski boats. Gonna keep my pylon. BUT I DO NEED A PYLON RACK for wakeboard / skis IF ANYONE HAS A LINE ON A USED ONE!!!!!

Ski-it-again has racks from time to time. Keep your eyes on there.

I prefer the FlyHi to the tower - fewer HOLES in ur boat, also comes down easy to fit in a covered lift. I'm sure I could get use to a tower BUT i think they should issue a HELMET for newbies! I was out riding recently on an '05 MC with a nicely equipped tower - and I got dents and bruises on my head to prove it! ;-)
