View Full Version : Heater Blowing Warmer out of One Vent Than the Other

Just installed a Heatercraft 3 vent heater in my 2000 Maristar 230. I did the Y in the return line to make sure to get sufficient heat at idle. I put the heater core in the seat that is behind the driver, I put one hot tube in the walkthrough under the dash, one fixed vent under the dash, and one hot tube under the same seat as the core. The tube that is closest to the core blows nice and hot, which is obvious because of its close proximity to the core. The other two vents are not near as warm as the other. I know that I will have some heat loss the farther I run the vent hoses, but it is a pretty significant heat loss.

Any ideas to help out?

Thanks

The first thought that comes to mind is the obvious...insulation. Is there any room to wrap the tubes in a thin layer? Do the three heater outputs match at the heater, i.e. before flowing through the tubes?
