What kinds of waterproof cameras are you guys taking to the lake?

For video, I have a waterproof GoPro with a suction cup mount for anywhere on the boat. Not great for video when sound is needed like conversations and whatnot.....

I recently bought this (http://www.amazon.com/Kodak-PlaySport-Waterproof-Pocket-Camera/dp/B00403MGKK) Kodak PlatSport Z3 and tried it yesterday....

I more or less was looking for a good still camera to keep in the boat all the time. Something I could swim with and not worry about.... At any rate, the Kodal Z3 is a great video camera and a terrible still cam.... I returned it today.

I was just at Costco and saw this (http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11626923&whse=BC&Ne=5000001+4000000&eCat=BC|90607|83&N=4047256%204294906393&Mo=8&No=3&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&topnav=) cool looking waterproof Fuji. 14 Megapixels and shoots jpegs when needed to. I like the GPS picture location stuff that built in....

Heres one of the images I took with the Kodak. (Taken for the tow rig thread)

here's another one to consider... excellent pictures waterproof to 30ft and shockproof as well. my mother has this one and loves it. dropped it several times while in Ireland and still worked without a hitch

We have that Fuji from Costco too, it has worked great for us as the 2nd camera to supplement the DSLR. We take it in the pool with us all the time, have yet to use it in the lake, but that's forthcoming and it's definitely durable...it's been dropped countless times by my 3 year old. Quality is pretty good.

I have the Pentax Optio W90 and love it. We used it snorkeling on Belize and it took great underwater pics and video. I was so happy with the picture quality taking regular pics, it was the only camera I ended up using the whole trip. It is shock proof as well but I have never dropped it so I can not attest to its durability. It sure looks tough though.

I'll have to see what I can dig up, I'm traveling this week, so those pics are at home.

I just bought a Sony TX-10. So far, the few pics are very nice. It excels in low light conditions. Haven't tried underwater yet. The HD video is great too. I need some more time with it to really see how good or bad it is.

Had the Olympia TG 610, bought it to go on Honeymoon to Hawaii. HATED saltwater, even after rinsing and drying as manual stated. Ended up buying a new one in HI and same thing happened, but the second time it will work dry with the battery door open. I'd never buy one again.

I think you'll like it. To me, it's pretty easy and straightforward to use and pic quality is pretty good....plus you can't be the price from Costco. I'll be curious to see what you think of it.

^ Much better pics!If this thing keeps taking pics this good, it will likely replace my bigger Canon. This is out of the box settings.......

I plucked this off of wakeworld but it's a good example of what the GoPro is good for.

What did it do or not do after using it in salt water?
