View Full Version : 2008 X45 VDIG issue

it seems I am running into a similar problem that others on the site have experienced reading other posts. However, my issue is when I was driving at random times the vdig(turning right, hitting hard wakes) would restart on me(turning off PP as well). All other gauges remained on, music remained blaring, battery gauge read 14V. This lead me to believe I may have a loose connection somewhere? or is my vdig going bad?

Are your batteries good? My VDIG would reboot from time to time and this behavior stopped when I throw out the POS Optima blue tops that I had and replaced them with a couple of DEKA batteries. My voltage meter was also 13 - 14.

But having said this, I would still think poor connection because yours occurs with sudden jolting of the boat where mine did not. I would grab a multimeter and test the voltage at the power connection to the VDIG.

ever since I discovered my battery switch was broken in half and replaced it, I have yet to see the problems I was having again
