What prop are you running? I'm running 14.75 x 17.5 OJ. This engine rocks & that was running it easy (~4000 RPM). Talk about torque! I like it better than the 8.1 that was in our last boat. I talked with Eric @ OJ props. He said that they are in the process of making a larger pitch.

Also, did you get your bimini? We're looking at keeping this one but making one in red also.

Lake Powell in 2 weeks. I hope the water warms up. It's been a cold spring!

I believe that is the size of our prop as well. we are going with the new prop once they are done. Bimini is on, did not use it this weekend. It was not hot enough. Water temp was between 71 and 74 the entire time, getting warmer. Lake went up a foot while we were there.
How is everything else running on the boat?

Hahaha. Sad, but funny.

The boat looks awesome.

Will be at Powell next week. 71 degrees sounds toasty compared to the 63 it was 2 weeks ago when I was there, but I think at that point, they had had just 1 90 degree day all year. Looks like 90+ from here on out.

What engine did you put in there?

Indmar LSA

"The LSA Supercharger is creating wakes bigger than what was possible in the past and riders are getting more air than seen before now. The power from the LSA Supercharger is redefining the sport as we know it. With a peak output of 540 horsepower and 540 foot-pounds of torque, Indmar’s 6.2-liter supercharged LSA engine is setting new standards. The Supercharged LSA also powers the world’s fastest production Sedan, the Cadillac CTS-V. This engine propelled the Cadillac CTS-V from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds at the Nurburgring, Germany’s notorious race track. Now this proven performer is available to charge your boat."

I have the LSA as well, unreal power at all RPM. Surfing is awesome, we really never use perfect pass because you have so much control at surf speed. Just get it to 10mph or 13mph (depending on who is surfing) and the engine holds right there.

Anyone that has the new interior, how is that red/black/whatever color accent on the seat fronts and tops holding up. I know the billet vinyl is super easy to clean but the other material looks and feels sort of like neoprene. Does it clean up well? hold up to wear? stain easy?

Very nice. The new tower has really grown on me. I've now seen a couple in person and it's definitely the option I would go with if I was buying new.

I like the colors you went with and that interior really pops.

Do you miss anything about your x45?

We've only been out a few times but here goes...

1. The slim racecar look... The X55 sits quite a bit taller in the water. We boat a lot at Lake Powell, so this was the main reason for going larger & deeper.
2. I miss the front bow seats that are on hinges. The X45 has more storage. The X55 bow is larger & deeper. But the seats do not flip up.
3. We like the wake & surf wake better in the X55. This thing can throw a wake! I'm not sure if I would ski behind it....
4. X55 bathroom area. First thing I did was to take the toilet out. My kids are old enough. Used it for storage.
5. The BIG setup versus the VDIG. I like the settings a little better in the BIG.
6. At the docks & trailering, they are about the same. The new trailer has some steps that makes it easier.
7. I like the deep glove box on the X45. The X55 has a small one, but there is storage under the seats so it makes up for it.
8. The Iphone/ipod cable was in the bathroom area in the X55. I was "supposed" to leave my phone in the sink. I rerouted the cable throught the glove box like it was in the X45.

Thats about it. Once I have it on the lake for a bit, I'll be able to give a better comparison.

Seems strange such a fancy boat has nylon straps for the bimini... nice boat though. What are the seats in the front just slide out?

Initial thought on the mirror is that it looks a bit goofy. Perhaps it will grwo on me, as the Power Tower has.
