Finally had enough time this year to take 3 or 4 days off and ride.

I get to the lake, fire up the boat, it runs perfect, but I get the dreaded red Engine Trouble screen on the VDIG. Damn! Oil level - perfect, Oil pressure - perfect, Engine temp - perfect, Performance - perfect... But the warning persists.

Damn your ECM, just tell me what you think is wrong so I can determine if this is a bad sensor or something to worry about. Maybe one of the local auto parts stores out here in no mans land will have a code reader.

Will it clear the trouble code if you disconnect the battery for a short while?

Just a thought so you can salvage your weekend.
Also check all you connections on sensors? (knock sensor, etc.)

Battery disconnect did not resolve the error message. But good suggestion on the sensor connections. Thank you and I will give it a try.
