My 190 prostar has a wine in the transmission from about 500 rpms to about 1200rpms and then it goes away... any suggestions. Also my tach isn't working that well, is this an easy fix, please help! Thanks

Is it a whine or a ringing? I had my prop reworked once and it would ring at low RPM. I solved the problem by filing the edge of each blade flat.

May not be transmission ! check to see if motor cover has not slid back and is rubbing against front pulley of motor ! Mine did this and I was about to pull my hair out.

Yeah I guess it's more of a ringing, I checked the motor cover and it forward so I hope its the prop... thanks

Ring is probably the prop. Unless you are feeling a vibration nothing to worry about.

Check your grounds for the tac. Mine wasn't working well until I cleaned the ground connections.
