the last two or three trips out the boat does fine with no waight in boat(kids riding) ones we waight it down and set PP at bout 22 once on plain the RPMs begain to go up and down and feels as if I am loosing power and the check engine light comes on. once that ride is over every thing will do fine untill some one else gets up then it does it all again.

Is there any way to determine why the light is coming on? Any suggestions? THANKS

I would disconnect the PP and run it at about 22 to see if the problem happens again. Just trying to rule out PP as the issue.

Go to a dealer or have someone find out what code is coming up in the engine! Dont guess with such an expensive question.

The dealer or a repair shop will have a diagnostic tool that will plug into the engine and explain the code.

Dealers are just so far away and take so long to fix problems, its middle of ridding season! I would buy a diagnostic meter if I could find out where to get one.

If you don't go over 2000 RPM, it's possible that you're overheating. That's called RPM reduction. Have you checked the impeller and oil cooler?

JimN's the man, follow his advice and you'll be back up and running.
