Saw an X 30 at my dealer and it looks like all the pics and drawings posted. The verticle section about 5 feet from the back where the hull changes color with a big bold X30 on that section. Not sure what I think yet

That is not an '06 X45.
I have an '06 X-9 in stock, and will be getting my X-Star and X-45 Monday. I will try to take pics of both and pass them along.

There are more graphic choices this year than ever before...
1) Backside: this is the package that has uses two differnet gel colors. The second color is located on the rear 1/4 of the boat. This second color does not go above the rub rail... It can be done as one color making the boat a solid gel scheme boat. You can also pick your choice of decal colors.
2) Slider:
This is where the color on the rear 1/4 of the boat is carried over above the rub rail all the way to the front of the boat. Choice of decal colors is carried over.
3) Old School:
This is the graphics from last year along with the gel scheme from previous years.
The only boat that I am aware of that the new graphics and gel scheme cannot be applied to is the 210/X10 as the boat is scheduled to be replaced.

I like that X7 alot. I wonder if something on each side would do a little for it. with the black on white it is a little bland in my eyes.

Just got back from Tennessee from our vacation, yes it turned out that we ended up going in the end got everything all situated at home. Toured the MC factory on Wednesday, July 27, 2005. All the pictures of the graphics that everyone is posting and talking about it the truth, that is what they look like for '06. The only X series boat that doesn't have those block letter graphics is the X-10, which has a half circle of flames with a "X" in the center and it doesn't say X-10 on the boat anywhere. The reason the X-10 wasn't changed to the new stlye graphics is because the boat is being redesigned in Dec. and going to be called and early production '07 if I understood correctly. The new X-10 is going to have the same pointed transom as the X-45, but the hull isn't changing from what I was told, just the sides and the transom. We were also told at the factory that you can order the '06 with what MC calles the "old school" graphics which is the graphics from '05. Almost all of the boats we saw on the production line had the '05 graphics on them. We didn't really see any of the prostars or maristars on the line, most of them when we where there were an X-series boat. We didn't see any of the new X-2, but the rumors are all true, the X-2 is going to be a pickle fork and it basically looks like a mini-X-star. We saw plenty of the X-1 though, even saw one sitting at a dealership on the way home.
We didn't really get to see our boat up close and personal, it was at the lake being lake tested, we could see it from the fence though. The boat is probably sitting at Redline in Madison, WI as I'm sitting here so we should have the new boat in the next week or so.

Not likin the graphics at all!! Its a good thing you can order them with the Classic Look, or they would lose a lot of sales.

That is the "new" standard trailer for the X1...it is supposed to help control the cost of the package.

I'm not a huge fan of any of the new graphics either, I am so thankful that our boat is not going to have the "simplified" graphics on it. The flame thing on the X-10 for '06 is pretty cool. I understand why MC is changing up the graphics to stand apart from every one that has copied them now, but I think they could've come up with something better. I don't care if the reason our boat didn't get changed is because they are redesigning it in a year. Not liking the "X" graphics at all. Maybe they will grow on me as I see it more and more, sometimes change is hard to get used to.

Maybe the look will "grow" on me but I've always said that one of themany things MC had over any other Mfg. is that they look soooo much better. Not so with the few X boats we've seen posted here for 06.
As far as the trailer, the only difference I see is the wheels and I bet they have less trouble with the cheap wheels than they've had with aluminum.
Oh well, the grumblings called for a price point boat. You got it!

I'm shaking my head looking at those graphics. Looks like it was laid out on an etch-o-sketch (sp). But hey, that's just one guy's dumb opinion. Go with what suits you.
Ya Girl's pic of the xstar inside the factory actually looks like something you could do in Microsoft Paint.

It will be interesting to see if the new graphics really make a difference on sales for '06. The boat is still the same quality MC, it just looks a little bad (Okay who am I kiddding, they look terrible). The good news is you can order the boats with the old graphics and gel coat schemes or you can go with the Maristar graphics.
I did't the the X7 that someone posted on here looked too bad, the X9 looks pretty much the same I saw one but did't get a picture of it while at the factory. It will be interesting to see what the X2 looks like when it finally comes out.
The X1 is has some other changes too besides the trailer, there is no ballast, no alumium dash or stearing wheel, the tower is different (I think) I think it comes standard with the smallest engine available. You can add all this stuff back on but I imagine you will be up to the price of an X2 by then.
Anyone have some prices on the X1 I'm curious what price point they are going for?
Cary K.

I think MYMC told us that it was like 39-40K base.
Starting under $40K on the X1 trailer...includes rear ballast but not KGB (optional). Tower is the same with "bungie style racks".
Multi port 310hp RTP-1 is standard, but that is the same throughout the line.

The first step in every new design is to shock the existing owners before being accepted in the market, these boats have clearly done that!

Thanks MYMC for straightening me out, I was listening on the tour, but I think I was more busy looking around at all the boats. Some of the information when in one ear and out the other. So I got it half right!!

I'm with you Doug, even if I had the money I wouldn't buy those. It looks like they gave an 8 year old a can of spray paint. MC what were you thinking? :eek3:
I'll be curious to see how the sales go? Otherwise somebody's arse is gonna be on the line.

I think the real question is, since the old graphics are optional, will anyone opt for the new ones. I agree with Leroy that "shock" with a new body style, paint scheme, etc. is common. That said, I still don't like the Jeep Liberty, which looks like those little puffy cars Chevron used to give away. Of course, Jeep is bringing back a high end version of the old 4.0 Cherokee for 06.
The key is, of course, whether it catches on.

Funny! I rented one once. Ugliest car on the face of the planet. It was cool to drive and great for tailgating though. Would I buy one? Nope. But it was fun to rent for the weekend. Also, they have great brakes (don't ask).

Have on here as a company car. Yes it is the Ugliest car on the face of the planet.
Good thing about it is nobody wants to borrow it for personal use.
You know more companies should have thought of that one...a great way to cut down on "un-authorized" usage...wow, Pontiac you missed the marketing boat on this one!

To continue this thread hijack.....
Has anybody seen the Subaru Tribeca? Great looking car from the side, looks like it got its styling from a Lexus, but from the front, it looks like an Edsel.
Now back on track, are there any changes for the 06 ProStars?

Cast my vote for "Old School".
The rest are just way too ugly. I give MC a great deal of credit for offering the older graphics as well; most companies don't do that. Otherwise it would certainly make the value of the pre-06 boats go up.
Remember a few years ago when CC had the big ugly "N" on the side of their boats? I saw one at the boat show and told the dealer that it was ugly and that I bet it wouldn't be long until they got rid of it. I don't think it lasted but a year or two. I still don't think their newer boats look as classy as their early-mid 90's boats did.

I dont see a Problem with the trailer what r u talking about???
Ryan OG here.
I think the gripe is on the old style chrome steel wheels as opposed to the current aluminum 5 spoke - and that it throws off the whole look of the trailer. Aside from missing a spare and no boat buddy those are the only three things I see different. Maybe a swing tongue is an option like everything else too?
