anyone have any suggestions for minimizing or creating a smaller wake for slalom going 28-30 mph in my 79 stars/strips? if I add more weight towards the front of the boat, will that help? and how much works? any thoughts, greatly appreciated, thanks

Weight distribution won't help much (in my opinion) as the hull was designed as a variable plane hull (for three-event use). I have had several 79 models and all were very pleasant with which to slalom. Try using a more precise technique for slalom skiing by using the edge of the ski while crossing the wake in lieu of riding across on the flat part of the ski.

Maybe try less fuel in the tank, less people in the boat.

I would think it can't hurt to add some weight to the bow.

32-36 mph would be a much smaller wake if you can get use to skiing that fast.

you are absolutely right, getting the ski on edge makes a big difference, thanks for the suggestions,

40 lbs in the nose might soften the wake a touch, but it will plow water at slower speeds. I've not been pleased with my limited experience trying to weight the nose.
