I have a 2008 X45. All I currently have is the factory ballasts. What is the best surf set up for me to use? Just bought my first surf board yesterday and want to use it this weekend. Any help is appreciated.

There's a lot of guys on here with 45s that surf and I'm sure they will offer up their setups.

There are some basics that hold true with most boats.

More weight in the rear = bigger wave
More weight on the surf side = bigger longer more defined wave
More weigh up front = (most not all) better cleaner lip and longer wave.

I agree with cantrepeat for a good starting point.
Depending on the number of people, I just stack them all on the side your surfing, stock kgb full and stock surf side full. I also have two 500lb sacs i can fill if I don't have enough passenger weight. Make sure the trim tab is all the way up too or the wave will just mush out. Usually set perfect pass to 8mph and adjust up for good curl. Try to gradually turn into the wave side as well, helps alot. Good luck and post pics!

in my 08 x45 I fill stock kgb and stock surf side and a 400 lb sac on surf side then pile everyone on surf side...works good for me :)
