Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself since I'm new to the forums. Any Mastercraft owners out there from around College Station, TX? I just bought my first boat as a graduation present for myself.

Prostar 190
1993
Ford 351

Low hours, great condition. Will put up pictures soon. Been doing some work on it before the lake this weekend... worked on teak platform, put in a depth finder, replaced exhaust flaps. that's about all it needed.

Here's a couple pictures. Yep, College Station - Texas A&M graduate. Hoping to make it up to Oklahoma -A&M game in the fall, should be a good one if we can live up to the expectations for this season.

Thanks everyone. Yes I was amazed at how nice the original interior still is. Boat has less than 500 hrs and was always in a lift or covered so it makes sense. Can't wait to take it out tomorrow morning.

I bought my first Mastercraft Prostar 190 last year. I had more work to do but now that it is done---we enjoy this boat. Have you replaced the impeller in your fresh water pump? Was it replaced before you bought it? I replace mine annually now. I was very glad that someone on here had mentioned it before I was ready to take mine out. The impeller was in bad shape.

aarosurf, NICE find. in case you do not know, the 91-94 prostar 190 hull has one of the best slalom wakes of all the mastercrafts built. I have the same hull with the stars and stripes special color scheme in blue with gray interior. mine also has the 351 carbureated engine with HO heads rated at 285 HP and powerslot transmission. Which transmission does yours have? Powerslot is 1.52 ratio and is stamped on top of the tranny on a plate.

For a second I thought I was needing to check my storage and see if you didn't gank my ride. :D

Mine used to look exactly like that before I changed everything.

Welcome to TT.

It was a very windy day in Texas, had some trouble getting the boat back on the trailer yesterday. Hopefully it dies down by tomorrow and I'll take it out again. Not sure about the transmission I'll look at it next time I run by the storage. Oldairboater - yes impeller was recently replaced, as well as fuel filter, fluids, driveshaft packing, etc. It ran smoothly yesterday so I think I'm good right now.

Nice looking boat! Welcome!

Windy as hell this weekend. Didn't even think about hitting the lake. Almost got blown off the road a few times though.

Fortunately, we have plenty of water here because we're sobbing because you spelled the name of our state backwards! 8p I never have figured out why that's supposed to be such a great jab. Have a good season (and be good, I mean painfully mediocre).
