Just changed mine for the first time on an MCX today. Get a good pump to suck out the oil. Mobile 1 filter number M1-111. Rotella 15w/40 oil. 5.5Q for engine, 2.5Q for tranny.

Get a manual vacum pump, fairly cheap and works like a charm. Your engine should have a hose connected to the oil pan, the suction hose on my pump fit perfectly inside that hose, easy money. On the tranny, suck the oil out from the dipstick hole. Filter change is always a mess;-)

How about the trans, does it have a filter? Anythng special about the trans cooler?

I dont know your exact tranny, but I'm pretty sure it does not have a filter, old oil out, new oil in. The cooler is just a heat exchanger, it needs to be cleaned now and then, at least the one I have, it can get clogged in the end where the sea water comes in.

my 08 x-30 has a filter to the passenger side of the transmission. It has an allen head to loosen then filter pulls out. The cap is a squeeze type seal when replacing just re- tighten the allen bolt to secure the cap, alittle messy but not bad just lay a bunch of shop towels under the trans.
