I'm considering adding a trim tab to my X10. Possibly even surf tabs if they come recommended.

What should I expect to pay for this upgrade?

Thanks!

I have been wanting a Bennet Wake Tab for years but it runs about $450 just for the tab.

I did mine for right at $500.

I bought this one: http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=71228&pdesc=Bennett_X_14_Wake_Tab_14W_x_12D&str=wake+tab&merchID=4005

and a switch, some wire, some sealant and some oil. That's pretty much it.

I've looked at serveral ways to try and put surf tabs on my x10, and there is just no room. I get a pretty awsome surf wake with just some added ballast though.

Page not found sir!

Did the trim tab clean up your rough water ride quality?

Helps with the porposing of the boat and helps with the rough water. Kman and I alternate boats every weekend.

I just got done adding the MasterCraft 2011 Attitude Adjustment Plate to my 2002 X-30. I chose to also add the 2005-2007 Trim Tab gauge to the boat. The total cost of the parts was right around $1,000 from Lenco and MasterCraft. The install was around $500.

Check out my thread on this at:

You will have to get someone to make you a spacer plate to allow the tab to fit up high enough on the transom that it isn't dragging in the water all the time.

I can tell you this is one of the best investments I've made to this boat. It completely eliminated the porpoising of the boat and even made the ski wake (auxi-moron on an X-30) liveable.

have on installed on mine as well. its currently linked to the tower light switch. i would eventually like to reposition it to its proper switch location and potentially link it to the BIG display.. has anyone done this before?
what would i be looking at in terms of difficulty and cost?
