I should have my boat in a month... have to drive up to WV and pick it up. believe it or not I lucked out. my best friend, (used to teach advanced slalom) who taught me to ski 13 yrs ago behind his 92 190... well, now that I can afford it, he broke down and is selling it to me. it is in perfect cond. and runs perfect like it was new. (I was there when it was new :D ) i have wanted that boat forever
and no, i dont have the intake yet. but I can get it cheap.

I would say, yes. IMO.

The answer is that I haven't messed with it yet. Vince at skidim suggested that Holleys tend to run rich to begin with and to just see how it runs at first. I am bogging down if I cruise at 2,375 rpm (and only there). I've given some thought to adjusting the mixture a tad to see if this goes away, but since it doesn't interfere with anything I do, I'll probalby ignore it until the end of the season.

Just an update. Last couple of times out, no bog at 2,375. Wonder if I had some bad gas. Weird. Only change was a new fuel filter. A couple of tanks later, couldn't reproduce the problem. I'm calling it good. No mixture adjustements seemed necessary. Boat pulls like a champ.

You really shouldn't have to adjust anything with the Holley as someone mentioned before, they do run a little rich. An intake swap just won't bump HP up enough to warrant it.

Nope, but the extra torque is very noticeable. Just feels plain thick out of the hole. Don't have a better description. Just feels like the prop is as wide as the boat. Accelleration is filled out.
