I am looking at purchasing a 2001 PS 195; the for sale post can be seen here:
The boat has about 400 hours on it. I am looking for a family friendly "ski" boat. Asking price is $17,500.
Initial thoughts/comments? Price?

Just wanted to give you my quick "take" on that boat.... I owned that exact same boat but mine was blue/white. I sold it to buy me X9. If you are a 3 event type skier then this boat has got your name all over it.. Great wake, super fun boat to drive and very very rigid hull as its not a true walk thru open bow. On top of that it is really easy to trailer.
Now for the bad - it is really a pretty small boat, just a cut out in the bow and only, and I really do mean only kids up to about 11 will want to sit in the bow area. This is very small and cramped even for kids. Also, if you put larger kids or adults in the bow it will nose dive when going back to get a fallen skier.
If you really like to ski and have small childern then pull the trigger on the boat. (BTW that might be the best color combo Mastercraft ever made)
Is that a tower mount on the side?

As said that is a great boat. Basically a 95-97 Prostar 190 with an updated dash and cut out bow.
For a great overview of that boat and its many siblings that all rode on the same hull go here:
Looks clean. Good hours. Sounds like the price is pretty in line. Go drive it and ski it. If you like it buy it.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, that is a tower mount on the side.
