I am replacing my XMD1 in my '02 X30 with a Pioneer Premier DEH-P860MP headunit. I know the hole in the dash of my X30 is a single DIN size. However, do I have to buy or build anything special that will allow me to install a standard single DIN sized face unit in its place? I will also be installed one of those spring loaded covers so the new headunit will be waterproof (somewhat).
Thanks in advance for the help.

Most stereo shops usually carry a kit that allows you to fill the extra space for the single DIN.

Hey Aaron -
Did you get my PM with the delivery prices? I sent it this morning.
The hole that is in the dash in my boat is a single DIN size. The only portion of the XMD1 headunit that is Double DIN is the face plate.
I am thinking that when I get the spring loaded waterproof door it will cover up the 4 screws that hold the XMD1 into the dash. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
