I have a sizable leak in the port side lower exhaust hose that connects to the thru-hull exhaust. This is the 3-4" diameter, 90 deg formed hose that goes between the muffler and the thru-hull exhaust. Do I have to remove the muffler to get to this hose to replace it? Can someone tell me the easiest way to replace this lower exhaust hose?

You wil have too loosen all the muffler clamps and mounts then move the muffler to the side to gain acsess to the 90 bit of a tight job but not insanely difficult. Good luck

False alarm. I remembered that when I removed by FAE to install the 2011 Trim Tab, I re-installed the stock flappers on the thru-hull exhaust ports. However, I only installed the top 2 screws and left the bottom 2 out. When I went back in installed the bottom 2 screws, the leak stopped.

That's a relief!!!
