View Full Version : 2004 X2 Interior
What does it cost to redo the whole interior in a 04 x2? is it cheaper to get the skins or to take it to a local shop?

Local shop would be ALOT cheaper!! mastercraft skins, a rough guess would be around 3500.00, is what a few have said..

Call Jim @ 865-679-2246. You can either order skins or,if you're near Knoxville, take the boat to him.

I also have an '04 X2 ... but I was told OEM skins were not available any longer by my local MC Dealer??? All of mine are in very good condition other than the rear deck panels, which are showing a bit of wear on the seams. There was a thread a few months back about a place around Ft. Worth, Texas (maybe Weatherford?) that would duplicate OEM skins very closely. I had my wife call on them, prices were reasonable (I just don't recall what they were) but since we have already been hitting the lake, we opted to wait until end of season to pursue.
I will see if I can track it down and post a link.
here is the link I was referring to ~~> http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=39370

Not sure on the skins. I have mine in a local shop getting done right now, I am going with some custom colors so I am pretty sure they are making it from scratch. They are going to keep the mastercraft logos on the interior for me so my assumption is they are going with Master craft skins on 3 pieces where I have the logo then matching the vinyl to the mastercraft vinyl for the rest of the boat. I am also having them put piping around the seats for a little more flare. All total it is going to run me about 2900 dollars. that is for every piece of vinyl in the boat getting replaced, the breakdown on their estimate was 700 in material and 2200 in labor, it is going to take them about 10 days to finish. I will post pics once I have it back.
FYI this is on an X30 so yours would be quite a bit less. My guess completely redone 2000-2300

For just the seat cushions on my 06 x1 it was close to $900 and that was only 4 pieces.
looking forward in seeing your pictures when it is done.

There was a thread not too long ago of a guy who got new 2010-2011 X1 skins for his 03-04? X2. Probably not cheap, but man they were nice. Might be worth it if you planned on keeping the boat for a long time.
