So on 5/21/11 Jesus Christ is returning and on 10/21/11 the earth will be destroyed. So does anyone out there have a bucket list that they are working on.

CBS/AP) RALEIGH, N.C. - If there had been time, Marie Exley would have liked to start a family.

Instead, the 32-year-old Army veteran believes she has less than six months left and she's spreading a stark warning: Judgment Day is almost here.

Exley is part of a movement of Christians loosely organized by radio broadcasts and websites and convinced by their reading of the Bible that the end of the world will begin on May 21 this year.

According to literature from Harold Camping and his Oakland-based Family Radio - which calls on the faithful to flee their churches - the beginning of The End is calculated as being 7,000 years from the date of the Great Flood, and both the start of the flood and May 21, 2011 fall on the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Biblical calendar.

With the Bible's Revelation 9:5 stating that the "torment" will last five months, Judgment Day is thus marked as October 21, 2011.

To get the word out, believers are using billboards and bus stop benches, traveling caravans of RVs and volunteers passing out pamphlets on street corners.

Exley says she hopes more people will check the Bible verses themselves.

She says: "If you still want to say we're crazy, go ahead. But it doesn't hurt to look into it."

In a self-published 1992 book Camping predicted End Time would come in 1994.

After followers gathered on the appointed day and did not experience the predicted Rapture, Camping acknowledged that he'd made a mathematical error.

(NIV) Matthew 24:36 ... No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

pretty simple!

That is my same opinion on it also. I thought we could get some funny responses from this thread.

I heard the bookies in Vegas are running the numbers right now. :D

We all have to die sometime and if everyone happens to go on the 21st, cheers! It's been a great ride.

WOW WHAT A RIDE"

You would think that after the "Heaven's Gate" idiots missed the comet (Or maybe they didn't, who knows?) people would stop listening to these people. Are we supposed to go out and buy new Nike shoes?

Since it's raining all weekend, I'm going to the lake to change my transmission fluid and V-drive oil. I plan to be on the water next weekend when the crap hits the fan!

I remember these nut cases!!!!

The sad thing is that there are still people in this world who would do the same thing. I watched a documentary on those people who were video taped before they caught the space ship and it was hard to watch. You could tell that some of them didn't really believe a space ship was coming but they drank the Cool Aid any way. Hard to believe.

Yes, thanks.

Although I eagerly await the day of His return, I am so saddened when someone attempts to predict a time/date. I apologize on behalf of those who stirred up the mess this time...

Being that 10/21 is my birthday, and I am a non-believer, it only seems appropriate that the world should end on the anniversary of the day I was born. Yay me!

LOL - There is so much BS behind religious hysteria... This past weekend on my way to a ski club weekend, I saw a sign that read "Stop the porn and be reborn..."

1000 ft later, there was an adult video store...

LMFAO

I’m ashamed to say that we have a lot of dumb*** rednecks in my state. In our local paper on Sunday there was a write up about a truck driver who didn’t work the week before 5/21/11 because he wouldn’t be able to cash his paycheck the following week. He loaded up the family in his rig and drove to the west coast in an attempt to buy him a few extra hours. When the end didn’t come, he said “Well, at least I got to see the Pacific Ocean”. He didn’t say whether he quit his job or not.
