Why is the tower down? I thought it was a no no to travel on the water with it down?

agarabaghi

of course it probably isn't the most efficient mode of transportation, but it takes just as long as going by bike (which i usually do) and i cant imagine it gets must worse gas mileage than my land rover... i love it.

Hmm if it is that is news to me, i have to lower the tower to get under several bridges on the canals attaching the chain of lakes...

best part about it... that dock is right infront of the pool / beach at the college i went to. Even though i just finished my MBA at the school, and it does seem a bit creepy to still talk to the undergrads... it is just hard to say no when they ask to come on the boat after work haha...

With all the rain around here the last couple weeks I may have been able to pull that off.

Any security to keep you boat from getting trashed? As far as boating to work... If I had a sailboat it blows enough here to cross dry land. Sounds like you have a great gig.

Nah, there a lot of foot traffic and the overall atmosphere of rollins is pretty laid back...

I miss going through those canals. The xstar is just way too big to get through them unfortunately. They are so narrow and with these boats being so wide, the margin for error is minimal when trying to prevent scratches to the hull. When you think you have enough bumpers, get a couple more!

I'm out on those lakes every now and then so i'll keep an eye out for you!

I dont got no freaking bumpers ;) ... its all skill...

sign... i did scuff up my registration numbers once... but overall im pretty good at not bumping...

What do you have the back half of the tower sitting on?

agarabaghi

depends... usually a life jacket... its only down for a bit... i notice it kinda crushes the foam... but after a day it usually pops back up...

I will do the canal from Lake Virginia to either Lake Mitzel or Lake Osceola, however the one to Lake Maitland is way too long, especially with all the paddle boarders and tour boats!!

Lake Maitland however is by far the best lake,...usually just launch up there these days.

Yea, ive gotten pretty good with the maitland canal.

Just did it again this am, no bumpers, no bumping, just smooth cruising ha.

I live in the moorings on lake maitland, if your facing ft. maitland about to load the boat on the trailer it the community to the right.

What boat do you come out on? We are usually out there in the evenings and on Virginia before that

What boat is that? Front of it looks very similar to my 99 PS205 with the vents there on each side even though I know it's not.

Curious because that tower looks really nice with how it mounts at the front and rear. I put on a Roswell tower last year and don't like the look at all, would love to get a factory tower and put it on my boat, even if it needed some tweaks.

Thanks!

Thanks.

It's a 2006 Mastercraft X1, essentially the same boat as your 99 205v, but with wrap around seatings, built in ballast, and the newest tower. I believe that tower was from 2005 - 2006.
