Hey Guys- I'm sure this post exists somewhere but I could not locate it- I have a 2003 X-10 and it has painted lettering on the front of the hull- My x-10 is black and white and the top half is black. How do I safely remove the old lettering? I have heard Easy Off oven cleaner but just wanted some feedback- Thanks

Sandpaper. Seriously check out any thread on sanding gelcoat to bring back the shiny finish. Same principles should work for you to remove those painted on reg. numbers.

Acetone should remove the paint but wont hurt the gel. Just rub the painted area with it. After you get the paint off wash and then wax well.

Use oven cleaner. Be sure to protect the trailer, though. The oven cleaner will make the paint melt right off. If you have any ghosting, some compound followed by a good wax will do the trick. The oven cleaner works great.

Oven Cleaner, and if that doesn't work, acetone. Make sure you protect the trailer and the floor (if it's painted)
