I've had my 08 2 months and 20 hours already! Fits well in garage and still cant beleive it is a 20 footer. As much room inside as my 210 with more storage and takes rough water very very well. Feels like a 22 footer on the water.

Thanks for the compliment. Your boat is awesome too!
Was between this one and a solid black hull with white deck/tub X15. Garage space and my stupidity not getting the X15 when it was available landed this one.
Here was our 2nd choice X2. Had a new engine (divorce, no winterization issue with the orig owner!), but man did the colors pop!

There is a guy on here with an ALL white X2 which is the best looking I've ever seen, but I will say my 08 still gets a lot of attention, maybe the color catches people's eye. Since these pictures I added tower light/speaker cans on the two in the middle. Also I have a black bimini but rarley use it because it never gets hot enough here in Oregon and I have to take the tower down to get in/out of garage.

I currently have an X30 but I am thinking about getting into an X2 next summer. Seems to be everyone has rave reviews. I have never boarded behind one but I heard it is the best wakeboarding boat on the market if you add the fly high plug and play, and is a great surf boat with the surf tabs. You guys agree?

It is not the original nr yet.I put it on the boat with tape and i only had black tape. The original nr wil be in metal grey silver and placed on the black hull.

They put the silent masters in the boat with the ilmor. But it is not as quiet as the 2010 x2 with the indmar mcx.

Anybody want to share their wakeboard and surf ballast setups on the X2? (I realize it is highly subjective) We were working to dial it in last weekend and I got comments on the wake being wider than typical from some experienced riders....

1)Wakeboard: stock and fly-high sacks in the rear, minimal front ballast, 55' rope and 19.5mph.

2) Surf: stock and fly-high front and on-side rears. approx 10.3mph

I surf mine goofy side with starboard rear full plus fly hi plus kgb plus integrated front full plus a 750 on the seat behind the driver. Often no additional (bodies) ballast. Good wake with a lot of push. Too steep for longer boards like a broadcast.

This year I'm removing the hard tank and adding a custom Enzo style bag on the starboard side. Hopefully this will eliminate the need for the seat sac, and make emptying more efficient.

On our x2s is there any surf wake quality difference from the port to starboard sides? Wife would prefer to surf starboard side but I thought the port was the better side due to prop rotation?

DryHop - I run stock plus X2 Fly High's (425#) in the rears full plus a 350# down the walkway and KGB full for boarding with a light crew (4-6) If we are slammed and have people in the bow (8-10) you don't need the extra 350. We will run from 20 to 23MPH depending on rider preference and total weight. When slammed, Perfect Pass has a hard time holding speed at 20 weighted so I bump it up a bit. (21-22) You will also want to increase your KDW setting, I think I have mine all the way up to 200. Rope length is anywhere from 65' to 75', all rider preference but our wake is good and clean anywhere in that range. This guy killed it at 65' behind my boat!

For surfing, either side seems to work well for us, again stock and 425 full on the surf side (Port or Starboard) KGB and 350 full and all peeps on the surf side, front and rear if you have enough crew. If our crew is light, we will put the 350 on the seats. Speed is set to 10MPH, bump slightly to tune and no center tab. Also, I don't have surf tabs, but our surf wake is pretty darn good and has a long pocket!

I should try and hit newburg during the week more this year.. I am in Sherwood so it's a quick run to the river.

We usually go out of Willammate and tie up inside ross island with the 10 or so other people on the weekend after a couple of quick rides.

It was too funny, he insisted on using his rope! I have a real nice carbon fiber handle and Accurate line, but hey this guy could kill it, never challenge what works:rolleyes: He did stuff I have only seen people do behind slammed Xstars behind my X2, making me a believer that the X2 with some decent ballast will allow enough wake for anybody!

j4rowell.......... Boat does have a bimini (not on boat day photo taken - easier to leave off as tower is folded to put boat in garage), full travel cover, transom remote, heated observer seat, stainless exhaust extensions, tower speakers have forward facing lights, onboard Guest battery charger, table, wake plate and all other standard X2 options.......
shopping list does include an additonal pair of speakers (damn hard to get second hand!!) and right at this moment I am trying to source a JL Audio M6450 6 channel..... - boat has this amp currently but want to add a second one to give the current 4 cabin, sub and 2 tower a little more oomph and be ready for the addtional towers speakers if i can get them......

Thanks for the details MattsCraft. Wow, long surf wake, I've got work on that. My sweetspot is really close to the boat, and freaks out seasoned ocean surfers.

For wake, sounds like more weight, speed and line-length are in order. Nice pics, funny you posted one of a raley. Last weekend, one rider commented that the X2 wake was perfect for raleys, after throwing this:

just to add some color, 2007 X2...otherwise base gelcoat is black/white
wakeboarding, usually 5-8 peeps, pls all standard ballast plus #455 fly highs in rear lockers plumbed in, plus #500 sac in front @ 22.5mph at 65-70' line, wake is sweet and solid

yet to dial in surf wake...

I will tell you this about X2 Surf, ours was steep and short too at first, then I started keeping the 350 down the middle full, funny, by accident really, my 350 is not plumbed in, so just got tired of draining it, and found it really helps extend the wake. Also, if you have enough people, distribute bow to stern to help sink the entire boat, really helps to lengthen the wake!

Here is a pic of how far over the boat leans, rub rail is almost in the water when at speed!

Your boat is near the top of my list of favorite color schemes on X2s I've seen-nice and clean. For some reason I thought you had white Pro 80s. I think there is a similar all white X2 on the wetsounds site that has a pair of white Pro 485s. My boat is pretty close except that it is dark gray above the rub rail.
