Good luck with your sale. Those 2001s are supposedly great wakeboard hulls.

that's why i bought it a couple years ago. I learned a lot about wakeboarding and owning my first inboard on it and hope someone else can get into the sport with a inexpensive and reliable boat.

Only selling cause I just bought a 02 x star

And I was just gonna say " Talk to ETS, he loves them kind of boats!":D
Seriously, that thing is in awesome shape. Stringers solid?
Might want to list an asking price and put it in the Marketplace too, even though the Marketplace is kind of dead right now.
That'll make an awesome 1st boat for someone.
Have you listed it on onlyinboards and wakeworld? Someone will buy that boat pretty quickly I'd think.

stringers solid, boat has always been stored in a garage or on the trailer never in water.

Too funny. Did you guys notice the link takes you to the ad creation/editing page? Used to say Joke Bote as a title, now says Tige pontoon something or other.

You can edit it yourself to make it say whatever. It's changed three times today. Most current:

For sale is a 1987 nautique model 2001 ski boat (1487 hrs)

Boat is in great shape both inside and out. Boat has a VW motor. Cannot figure out how to disconnect the pictured garden hose, so you get it too (normally $25 at home depot).
I've pulled a lot of xxxn with this boat, and now it's your turn (I wouldn't put the back seat under a blacklight if you get what I'm sayin---wink wink)
Trailer is in great shape and includes tires and 14" semi-dubs.

Extras are:
- head
- speakers
-12" subwoofer
- 6 channel 2000W CB
- 2 fat chicks
- ski rope
- extended pylon with 2 speakers mounted on it so you can hear it

Was wondering what the convertible with roll-bar and hood up was in the garage?

Just to ease my conscience, I want you to know that it wasn't me that made the changes, I just copied and pasted them. I can delete the post if you wish.

Looks like a nice boat, good luck with the sale.

Can I assume that means it's not a great slalom hull?

its a great shalom hull when its not weighted down. at skiing speeds there is virtually no wake at all

It's a good wake at 34 and 36 but not so much below that; but better than the earlier 80's hulls.

I have never skied one. I just know that they are very popular with wakeboarders these days.

In my opinion, the 2001 series of hulls had one of the worst slalom wakes in the history of ski boats.

However I believe thay would make a great budget wakeboard boat.

I'll take that as a yes. I had heard that all builders had whiffed on a few hull designs in the earlier years of the industry. Interesting how a totally different sport comes along and gives new value to some of these hulls.
