I love the south for good boating weather, but these storms have eaten up most of our Spring Break sitting in the house wondering if we're about to get out ticket punched rather than out on the water...sheesh.

I was on the Mississippi river at Prescott, WI and the water temp was already up to a balmy 46. I think the cloud cover from the snow kept it warm enough so they lakes aren't freezing over.

That's funny, we've had the air conditioning on in the house for a month in NC!

Man... we are getting pounded right now. I can't believe we still have power!

Hammer, I know the area you're in...batten down the hatches and let us know how it went. Most of the bad stuff missed us, but a tornado touched down near Elizabeth town. This is getting old.

the really bad stuff left eastern Wake County not long ago. Our power at the office blinked a bunch, but we never lost it.

My wife has some good friends and ex-coworkers who are in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa right now. Luckily all of them made it, but they said the devastation is unreal.

I hear ya. Spent last night on the water. Dock next to our marina was destroyed. I'm talkin one 30-slip finger picked up and dropped on another 30-slip finger. Boats upside-down, etc. On a side note, I may know where you can pick up some cheap ezdock.

Please share the location. We're stuck in GA and wondering about Lake Martin, AL. No one has called us so we assume all is well.

Sorry. I'm on Douglas Lake, just east of Knoxville. The dock that got messed up is a private dock for a condo complex.

At school in West TN been under tornado warnings for 4 out of last 5 days I think. Storm 2 nights ago at home in NE TN blew a tree over on our MC totaled it more than likely. Got to find a new ride soon since summer is fast approaching.

Yeah there seriously has been so many disasters over the past 5-7 years that it's kind of scary. It seems we are going through a shift in climate or something. Who knows if it's global warming or just chance that they all have hit so recently. I'm crossing my fingers we don't get hit by anything.
