I got a cheap chinese one here:
It was like $65 shipped and claims to be ignition protected. It's been on my boat for about 25 hrs with a whole bunch of starts and it seems just fine.

The solenoid should be on the shelf at your local auto parts store. You can have the starter rebuilt at any local auto-electric shop. They usually stand behind their work and if you have issues they are local rather than having to mail it back somewhere. The auto-electric guys would be able to get you the solenoid too for that matter.

Ended up going with skidim. The damage wasn't enough for me to risk having to pull that thing anytime soon (WHAT A PITA!). Plus with it being overnighted hopefully I know if this is the fix by this weekend. Thanks for the help guys
Now there is a second solenoid correct? is that the part I can pick up off any shelf?

whether auto, truck or marine, I typically will pull the starter off and take to a local rebuild shop. They typically will have one already rebuilt in stock and I merely switch out my old one as the core charge... then re-install. even if they don't have one rebuilt already, usually only a one day turn to rebuild my OEM. depending on the shop, 60 to 90 warranty.
ummm ... should only be one solenoid
